Simply a paradise
There can be few areas in Scotland which deliver such a diverse array of wildlife and habitats in such a small area.
The Moray Coast frequently delights both visitor and local with regular sightings of dolphins and porpoises. Minke Whales visit in the Autumn to calf and in December 2006 a pod of Sperm Whales were spotted. Add to this mix Basking Sharks, Seals, Otters and sea birds.
Heading inland you will be entranced with sightings of Barn Owls, Bats, Badgers, Deer and Buzzards. Osprey regulary visit the mouth of the river Spey to fish. Many a evening Bats can be seen flying around Cullen Harbour. This sight is simply mesmerising.
The Wildlife Centre at Spey Bay, Macduff Marine Aquarium and the North East Falconry Centre all provide opportunities to learn more about our local wildlife.
